At De Drentse Koe, we make our own farm ice cream at our farm in Ruinerwold. Our locally made ice cream comes in a range of flavours, from familiar favourites to flavours that change regularly.

Traditional farm ice cream from Drenthe
We make our own farm ice cream at De Drentse Koe in Ruinerwold. Ice cream has been part of the farm for many years and is now an established part of our family play farm with its own ice cream.
We make a variety of farm ice creams, with flavours for all ages. From familiar dairy ice cream to refreshing sorbets and flavours that change regularly. So there is always something to choose from when you fancy an ice cream during your visit.
We believe good ice cream doesn’t need to be complicated. We make our ice cream with care and attention to the ingredients, the preparation and, of course, the flavour. Simply good ice cream, made on our farm in Drenthe.
Farm ice cream for home, parties and businesses
For a birthday, family get-together, neighbourhood party or barbecue, you can order our ice cream box. Choose two flavours and we’ll provide a cool box, ice cream scoop and cone holder. One ice cream box contains enough for around 100 scoops. Cones and tubs can be ordered separately.
Want to serve ice cream without having to scoop it yourself? With our ice cream cart, we come to your party, family get-together, company outing or event. We bring four ice cream flavours and serve the ice cream to your guests on site. The ice cream cart can be booked for locations within 30 kilometres of De Drentse Koe in Ruinerwold.
Businesses can also add Drentse Koe IJs to their range. We supply our farm ice cream to local shops, farm shops, campsites, holiday parks and leisure venues, among others. Our ice cream can also be a good addition for outlets along cycling and walking routes. We are happy to help you put together a practical range that suits your location and your guests.
