At De Drentse Koe, we have been making our own farm-made ice cream for many years. What once started on the farm has since become an established part of De Drentse Koe.

De Drentse Koe is a family-run business in Ruinerwold, bringing together our farm, our ice cream production and our family play farm with its own ice cream.
We have been making our own ice cream since 1999. For our dairy ice cream, we use milk from our own family farm. The farm and our ice cream have been closely connected for many years.

On warm days, you can relax on the terrace. If the weather is not so good, there is still plenty to do indoors, so your day out can carry on as planned.

Drentse Koe ice cream cart at your location
Make your party, family get-together, company outing or event complete with the Drentse Koe ice cream cart. We come to your location and serve Drentse Koe IJs to your guests.
This means you can enjoy our artisanal ice cream from Drenthe even when you are away from our farm.
How it works
- Service at your location.
- Choice of 4 different ice cream flavours.
- Guests can choose one or more scoops of ice cream.
- Ice cream is served in a cone or tub.
- We generally stay at the location for around 1 hour. For larger groups, we’ll agree the required time with you in advance.
Prices
- Travel fee: €75.00
- 1 scoop: €2.00 per person
- 2 scoops: €4.00 per person
- Each additional scoop: €2.00 per person
The ice cream cart can be booked for locations within a maximum of 30 kilometres of De Drentse Koe.

From Meppel, it is only a short journey to the rural surroundings of Ruinerwold. De Drentse Koe is also easy to reach from Hoogeveen, De Wolden and the surrounding villages.
